Dragon Saber, or Dragon Saber: After Story of Dragon Spirit, is a vertical shoot 'em up and the sequel to Dragon Spirit. Dragon Saber was originally released in the Arcade, like its predecessor, before being ported to the PC Engine the following year. The Arcade and PC Engine versions were both ported to the Wii's Virtual Console library. It would also be added to the 1997 Namco Museum Encore compilation for Sony PlayStation. Each of these releases were Japan-only.

The game now supports two-player simultaneous gameplay: Huey, the blue dragon, and Siria, the red dragon, are player one and player two respectively. The game follows the same model as the first: the player can collect power-ups that increase their firepower, often by adding extra heads to the dragon. The player can take four hits before dying, and can restore health by collecting specific power-ups.
