From Racketboy Forums-
"This was a later release for the game. There is a lot of speculation as to the origins of it, but none are concrete. Some of theories are it was a Mexican-only release (it says Made in Mexico on the back), and the one that I believe to hold the most credibility, is after the ESRB was formed they released this boxart to reflect the new grading. My favourite theory though (but I don't believe it at all) was that they originally wanted The Offspring to do the soundtrack for the game, and the kid on the front cover is supposed to be Dexter, the singer of the band. Haha, I always get a kick out of that theory."
