This is Sony's first entry in its NCAA Gamebreaker series which features over 100 Division 1-A, 1-AA and historical teams, including their respective logos and nicknames. It also features real-life stats of each team's players and their jersey numbers, but not their names. Authentic stadiums for the major teams are also present as well as crowd chants and fight songs.
The standard game modes apply including Championship, Season (either with tournament championships or bowl championships) and Exhibition which also includes multiplayer capabilities that can include up to eight simultaneous human players. There are also 20 authentic bowl games to choose from, over 12 categories of stats that the player can track and authentic awards including the coveted Heisman trophy.
