The story is set in a city in the near future where natural destruction has advanced. The main character is a boy who likes growing plants and has a book containing the ``Legend of Ibarard.'' One day, he happens to see the people he saw in the book in the street. As the protagonist chases after them, a train with an unknown shape appears in front of them. When the protagonist rides it, he steps into the lush world of Ibarard. The protagonist explores a vast different world, sometimes cooperating with unique friends, and goes on an adventure to return to the real world where the protagonist lived.
