Alyssa has always had flashes of violent acts involving her friends. These visions always end with her friends' deaths, and Alyssa holding a knife. After learning that an apparition named Mr. Bates causes these thoughts, Alyssa discovers an amulet that is the link between her personalities. Alyssa finds out that when she wears the amulet, Mr. Bates cannot invade her mind. While on vacation, Alyssa travels to Salinas to visit a family friend, but when Alyssa arrives, she learns her host has disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Guide Alyssa and her alternate personality with a point-and-click interface as you try to solve puzzles and arrive at one of the game's 13 different endings.
