Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate is, as the name implies, the "ULTIMATE" rendition of Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds. Built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5, the game will support uber-hype cross-platform side-scrolling action with up to 8-player online mulplayer and all the characters (and more...?) from past PBBG and "Overdrive" versions. PBBGU revitalizes the classic anime brawler with enhanced visuals, improved gameplay mechanics, and an array of exciting new features, making this the definitive version of the game.

* A physical retail edition was made available in early 2025. Each copy featured an instruction manual, random collectible card, lenticular magnet, and exclusive DLC.
