Resident Evil Code: Veronica X (Biohazard Code: Veronica ~Complete Edition~in Japan) is an updated version of the original Resident Evil Code: Veronica released for the PlayStation 2 and Sega Dreamcast in 2001 and the Nintendo GameCube in 2003.
Code: Veronica X is almost identical to the original in terms of gameplay, the only major difference being having to find a serum for Claire, if she is poisoned in the Nosferatu battle, after she is rescued with Chris in the mansion, where they later fight Alexia for the first time. It also features nine minutes of additional cut scenes spliced into the main game, as well as mild graphical changes.
The American first edition came with a playable demo of Devil May Cry on a separate disc. Pre-ordered copies came with Resident Evil Code: Veronica X Wesker's Report.
There are two disc label variants of the demo, Devil May Cry Demo CD and Devil May Cry Demo Disc, both SLUS 29009 with the same playable code. Almost all copies came with the first variant with purple background. The second variant with black background was used as a stand-alone demo, but it has been found with enough copies of the game to safely assume that they were originally distributed with it. It seems unlikely that it is a case of mixed discs.
The cover insert, manual, and game disc seem to be identical in both cases.
