Code R [ コード・アール ] is a cross-genre visual novel / racing game developed by Team Seven and produced by Quintet and Entertainment Software Publishing (ESP). The game was released in 1998 exclusively in Japan for the SEGA Saturn, and is often most referenced for it's Engrish tagline; "What a hell are you gonna make?."
The player assumes the role of a young man who engages both in street racing but also dives into relationships with various women. The racing segments have a mechanic where replays of race segments have crowd commentary and angles superimposed onto the player's run. Ultimately the game heavily imitates the Initial D franchise in many ways.
Quintet/ESP also released a 'Not for Sale' demo disc of the game.
