WaveRunner GP is a Sega NAOMI arcade game and a sequel to WaveRunner released in Japan and the US in 2001. The game was built on the Sega Model 2 arcade hardware. The game is based on the water craft of the same name by Yamaha, which Sega consulted with when making the game and sequel. WaveRunner was designed in a cabinet that resembled an actual WaveRunner model where one player controls the watercraft by leaning in the direction of the turn or using the handlebars. Up to four cabinets can be linked together for multiplayer racing.
