World of Warcraft: The War Within is an expansion pack for the game World of Warcraft that explores the subterranean realm of Khaz Algar and the threat posed to Azeroth by the Harbinger of the Void, Xal'atath:
Story
Players investigate Xal'atath's plans and try to stop her from threatening Azeroth's peace.
Setting
Players explore the underground realm of Khaz Algar, which includes the nerubian empire and the Arathi.
Features
Players can team up online to complete quests, fight enemies, and collect loot. New features include Dynamic Flying and Delves, which are shorter missions that can be played solo or with others.
Level cap
The level cap is raised to 80.
Hero Talent trees
Each class specialization has access to two Hero Talent trees inspired by Warcraft universe archetypes.
Quest journal
The quest journal has filtering options to help players find the kinds of quests they're looking for.
UI elements
When players hover over markers on the map, they can see what sort of reward there might be and how much time it's going to be before something starts.
Local stories
The game includes a greater number of local stories that tell more about the zones and the cultures in those zones.
