This release of Monopoly celebrates the national teams that participated in the 1998 World Cup (soccer). The usual tokens are replaced with little soccer players ; the coloured properties are no more streets but national football grounds ; the four stations are now the top four French venues for the 1998 World Cup. Also, green houses and red hotels are replaced by red terraces and blue stadiums. Up to six human players can play at once on one computer, their names can be edited.
Most of the game is still the same but there are some extra features in this version. When you pass go you are allowed to take penalties, which when successful allow you to throw an extra dice. And teams can degrade in value which cause them to shift around on the board.
