A remake of the original Sid Meier's Civilization with added multiplayer, an in-game world editor, custom leaders and civilizations, simultaneous turns improved graphics and sound, and support for Windows 95/3.1. Gameplay was almost identical to the original game. There were several methods of multiplayer, including LAN, primitive Internet play, hotseat, modem, and direct serial link.
