Callahan's Crosstime Saloon is one of the most distinctive games ever made. You play Jake Stonebender, a regular in Callahan's Bar. There you drown your sorrows and solve riddles with other humans, werewolves, aliens, vampires, time travellers, mutants, a talking dog... Yeah, it is a strange cast at Callahan's. The game is based on books written by Spider Robinson. Think of Callahan's as a cross-over between Cheers and the Star Trek cantina. These creatures are your friends, and when they have troubles, you try to help them out.
But not only your friends have problems. The whole universe has a problem as well: The gods have decided to close down the universe for good. Someone has to save the day, and it might just as well be you. Your quest will take you from New York to Romania, Manhattan, Brazil, outer space, the future and, of course, to the gods themselves.
Do you have what it takes to be Jake Stonebender? Can you trick the gods and solve all the riddles without help? Do you have the courage, brains and abilities needed? Find out. The task is not simple - but then again, saving the universe never is.
