- See How It's Done: Before you get started, you can watch a video clip showing how to complete the challenge. Use this info as a guide for your own run.
- Speedrun Like the Wind: Complete challenges to earn a letter ranking. If you play a challenge again, your previous best run will play side by side with your current run. See if you can set a new personal best!
- Unlock More Stuff: Complete challenges to earn in-game coins. Use them to unlock even more challenges to take on!
- Compete Against Players Around the World: Jump into the World Championship Mode with a Nintendo Switch Online membership**! Aim for a spot on the leaderboards in five challenges that rotate each week. Compare your personal best times with others at the end of each week, or sit back and watch the fastest run for each challenge.
- More Ways to Play: Aim for the top of your living-room podium with modes you can play with friends*** and on your own. Four players compete at the same time. Each player has their own portion of the screen. At the end of the challenge, the player’s ranking, time, and letter rating are shown for each player.
- Challenge Your Friends: Up to 8 players*** can enjoy Party Mode—all on a single system! Take on individual challenges or run through a series of moments in themed Challenge packs. With an automatic rewind feature to undo mistakes, even completely new players can compete. A player sets a new personal best in a Metroid challenge, beating their old record by 3 seconds.
- Challenge Yourself: Make your way through challenges at your own pace to set personal bests. Compete with yourself to see how fast you can go!
