Mii Force is a shoot-'em-up game where the player must gather a squad of heroes to take on Gold Bone and his Gold Bone Gang, battling a variety of spacecraft and mechanical monstrosities with allies gathered via StreetPass. Each player tagged through StreetPass is another pod and power at the player's disposal, with a maximum of 10 (the upper limit on StreetPass tags that can be loaded at once). Powers are determined by the Mii's shirt color, and include fire, lasers, sticky shots, and plasma. In addition to offering the player a new ability to use in combat, each pod represents a hit point; if a player loses all of their pods, they lose the level. The player gets three attempts at the level; should they fail to complete it in three tries, their squad is dismissed and they must gather more StreetPass tags to try again.
The game has 15 levels, taking players to the planets Leisura, Roohin, Amyuzia, Aquatis, and then finally to Gold Bone's base to face off against the main villain himself. Levels can be replayed should the player want to improve their performance.
