Who Wants To Be A Millionaire: 2012 Edition is a game for Xbox 360 based on the TV show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" in which contestants answer trivia questions for a chance to win a million dollars.
However, the rules in this game are slightly different from the ones found in the TV show. For instance, instead of having 3 lifelines such as "Ask the Audience", "Phone a Friend" and "50/50", the game gives players 2 "Jump the Question" lifelines. This allows the player to skip 2 questions he/she doesn't want to answer instead of getting help but still having to answer the question to progress. The game is also different from the TV show in the way it handles money prizes. In the show, the first question is worth the least amount of money and the last question is worth a million dollars. It could also be said that the first questions are usually easier than the last ones. In the game, questions are worth a random amount of money and differ in difficulty randomly. For example, the first question could be worth 5000$ in one playthrough, and only 100$ in another.
The game features over 3000 questions, local multiplayer and the ability to play as your Xbox 360 avatar.
Kinect is required. Players can give their answers with gestures or by using voice recognition.
