Gamshara is a third-person shooter for one or two players. The title is Japanese meaning "Daredevil".

The game is set in 16th century feudal Japan. The "greedy warloads" have plunged the land into war, shedding blood to extend their wealth and power. Players takes on the role of two samurai ninjas, Saika Magoichi and Hotary, who are send by one of the warlords to put an end end to the bloodbath. Saika is more powerful but slower, Hotary is faster but weaker.

The game play similar to Cabal, players move a crosshair around the screen and shooting down hordes of enemies on foot, on horse, ancient tanks, ninjas on delta wings and other historically inaccurate enemies. Some objects in the background are destroyable, such as houses, buidings and bridges. Shooting larger enemies and background objects and they will drop gold bars or weapon power-ups. Weapon power-ups include faster shots or more powerful shots.

Players can shoot, double-jump to avoid incoming bullets and use the "Gamshara" power up mode. Shoot targets consecutively without missing to fill up the Gamshara bar, press C to use the Gamshara bar to get a short burst of increased weapon power. Clear each single screen stage, fight a boss at the end of each level and then move onto the next.
